  1. I am looking for an old heirloom cake recipe. You use powdered sugar & start baking in a cold oven. It’s an old southern recipe.

    • Hi Shelby! I sure do – here you go.

      1 cup cranberries
      4-5 large Granny Smith apples
      1/2 cup sugar
      1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
      3 tablespoons flour
      1 double pie crust

Coarsely chop cranberries and set aside in large bowl. Peel, core and cut apples into 1/4″ slices, add to cranberries. Add sugar, cinnamon and flour, and toss. Fill prepared 9″ pie pan with mixture and top with crust. Bake in 450 oven for 30 minutes, turn oven to 375 and bake another 30 minutes or until done.

  2. I am looking for a recipe my mother – inlaw used to make, banana split dessert. I know it did not have a crust, had jello, and maybe 7up or sprite in it . It was my sons favorite dessert and we cannot find the recipe.

    • Pam, this one was pretty tricky! I ended up googling “banana dessert with seven up” and recipes sounding like what you might be looking for came up. If you google banana split it gives you mostly ice cream results. So, give that a shot and hopefully you will recognize the recipe. Good luck!

    • There are many pineapple jello dessert recipes on the internet. Not knowing exactly what yours is, I googled “dessert with pineapple jello cream cheese” and there were many results. I hope you are able to find the one you are looking for!
