I always like it when there is a name to go with a recipe. It somehow makes the recipe seem more approachable. Like if the recipe comes from someone you know and trust, there is an inherent understanding that it is going to taste good and probably make up well. Unless you are buddies with Julia Child or Martha Stewart, then….you are on your own. Â :-)
Sugar Cookies (Mary Moe)
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp B. Pd
1/2 tsp soda
1 cup butter
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
Cut shortening into 1st 3 ingredients. Beat eggs and add sugar gradually. Mix till smooth. Into flour mix. Chill. Roll thin. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake 350 (5 – 10 min).
