Cinnamon Cookies

Back in the day when women prized their recipe collections, personalized recipe cards were quite popular. They were almost like a calling card. They announced who it was who “owned” the recipe and was sharing it, and said a little bit about the woman with a decoration in the corner. This card is from Diane Wilson, assumably a friend of Gram’s. She signed the card “Dell” which must have been her nickname.

Cinnamon Cookies (Dell Wilson)

3 c sugar

Cream together

Add 4 eggs and beat well

Sift together:

  1. I can’t place anyone named Dell, but then I left home years before she had alzheimers so it could be someone in that “gap”.
