Here we have a page from a ring binder intended for Betty Crocker recipes, and clearly intended for practitioners of the home arts. These recipes and tips are for Wonderland Cookies, using Gold Medal flour, and include instructions on how to make 3D cookie tree ornaments. I have way too little time and patience to make rolled sugar cookies, let alone 3D ones, but if anyone is looking for a retro cookie recipe, this probably dates to about 1955. I’ll transcribe the recipes below, but if you are interested in the rest of the text, just click the image to enlarge. You can copy and paste into your own Word document and resize as desired for printing. Enjoy! Continue reading
Lemon Sponge Pie

Lamb was, but her muffins sound good. Perhaps some of you who are familiar with some of the older ingredients and methods can decipher the part about the milk. Continue reading
Bread Pudding with Brandy Sauce
Often the bread pudding you get in a restaurant is dry, has too much cinnamon, or is too sticky. Perhaps this recipe will be a good one since of course it would be home made and fresh, there doesn’t appear to be too much cinnamon, and of course there’s that brandy sauce. :-) Continue reading
