Back before internet searches and cooking channel shows, we didn’t have many celebrity chefs, mainly the humble home cook and a few Julia Child types from which to source our recipes. In this instance, FHK refers to the person who shared this recipe, and I think it was Freida Koch. I believe I saw that name on another recipe card in this collection. FHK shared this pork roast recipe and another we will look at soon. This looks like something served for a Sunday dinner, to me.
Pork Roast
1 3 lb pork roast
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
3/4 c soy sauce
1/2 c sugar
2 tsp ground mustard (dry)
Cut roast in half. Place in slow cooker. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over roast. Cover & cook 8-9 hours (160º 170º meat thermometer). Serves 8 [Current health standards state 165º for pork at the thickest part of the cut]
