We might be venturing into the realm of the hot dish here, if I’m not mistaken. This sounds like something you take to a potluck party at your local church or women’s club. We’ve got slivered ham, sour cream and mushroom soup, all mixed in with noodles. All you need is a side of macaroni & cheese or potato salad to round out this meal.
Party Ham Cassarole (M. Baker)
2 c slivered ham
1 c sour cream
1 T inst onion
1 t mustard
1 can condensed mushroom soup
1/2 c milk
8 oz noodles. Put in layers. Top with dry breadcrumbs. 20 min 350 F.
I cannot believe you said hot dish..that is a real local term..for the midwest..now I make hot dishes all the time..and so do lots of other Lutheran Church Ladies..we never make cassaroles. :)
