Grape Juice

Such neat handwriting! It reminds me of the illustrations of how cursive letters are supposed to be formed. But I digress….grape juice! I loved it as a kid and remember that cute little girl?

If you ever wondered how to make grape juice, it’s pretty easy apparently. I cross checked some other sources and this is the quick and easy method. You just might want to strain it afterwards, and modern thinking might even suggest a blender. Might be interesting, give it a shot. It goes without saying that the grapes should be clean and removed from the stems. You may or may not need to crush them or cut them, depending on who you ask.

Grape Juice

  1. When I was little, my great-aunt grew grapes, and my grandma, her sister, made grape jelly. My mom loved the jelly, so she would go to Aunt Vi’s place to pick the grapes, bring them home and cook them, then run them through a food mill to make the juice base. My grandma did the rest (sugar, etc) and made jelly and always kept us in good supply. We asked our mom, how come you don’t just make the jelly? She said, because Grandma Sara’s tastes so good, I don’t want to know how to do it so she’ll keep giving us jelly! Fond memories!
