I find the recipe cards that Jane used to be kind of cute and interesting. My gram used notecards. Some people use the ones with the old fashioned stove on them. For the most part, recipe cards are 3×5, but Jane’s are 6×5. They also were all in little plastic sleeves which would protect the card from spills while cooking. Was Jane a messy cook? Was Jane a neat freak? These questions and more, we shall never know the answers.
Broccoli Casserole
Cook 2lbs fresh broccoli. Place a layer of cooked broccoli in shallow buttered casserole. Cover with one 7 oz can tuna. Dilute one can mushroom soup with 1/2 cup milk; pour over tuna and broccoli. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake at 350° until mixture bubbles and is lightly browned.
This one sounds really yummy. It might be just as good with a cheese soup or chicken too. May have to try this one.
