Barbacue Chicken

This looks weird to me. I have never until today read a recipe that calls for sweet pickle juice. Now, I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt, because it could be really tasty. Maybe. :-) For some reason I love that this is spelled incorrectly.

Barbacue Chicken

3 T lemon juice

2 T sw. pickle juice

1 T mild vinegar

1/4 c salad oil

2 T minced onion

garlic salt

1 t mustard

3 T Worcestershire sauce

1 t salt

dash pepper

Heat & pour over chicken:

1 1/2 hr 325 F, cover & baste occasionally

  1. There is no spell checker on a hand-written recipe card! Notice also there is no tomato based anything in this sauce. I think the pickle juice is to balance the lemon juice and vinegar. Sounds good.

  2. Hey there! I made this Barbacue Chicken last night and it was GOOD! Boyfriend absolutely loved it! I think it would make a wonderful marinade as well :-D We will definitely be making it again.
