Here we have a recipe for fresh apple cake. It sounds a bit like a spice cake, or similar to the applesauce cake I made a while back. I bet it’s really moist and delicious.

Fresh Apple Cake (Winnie Meyers)

Big Al(uminum) pan 350 – 60 min

2 c sugar

1/2 c margarine

Cream

2 eggs plus 1 tsp vanilla –  add & beat

Sift together:

2 c flour

1 1/2 tsp soda

1/2 tsp B. P.

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp nutmeg

Add to mixture, blending well.

Add 4 c. fresh cut apples & bake.

Sauce

1/2 c gran(ulated) sugar

1/2 c brown sugar

1/2 c margarine

1/2 c sweet cream

salt

Cook to desired thickness, add 1 tsp rum flavoring
