These two recipe cards appear to have the same recipe for Pretzel Jello. It sounds like a dessert dish made of strawberry jello, cream cheese, Cool Whip, and pretzels. I don’t believe I have eaten this, but I am 100% positive it has been served at church socials and family potlucks nationwide!
This clipping is called “Fried Pies Again” which reflects that the column ran a previous bit about fried pies. I’m thinking of the pies you get at McDonald’s or the like, fried in hot oil and served warm. They seem quite simple and you could probably substitute many different fruits for the filling.
For a sweet treat that seems fairly easy, these apricot drop cookies would be a good recipe to try. I’m not 100% sure what a pineapple casserole would taste like, but with the flour and sugar, it sounds like maybe a dessert? This is an interesting one and I wonder how it would taste. The addition of a Ritz cracker topping is very unusual.
