Pecan Squares

My mom makes these really yum pecan muffins that taste more like a cookie. I love pecan pie. It’s safe to say I will probably try these Pecan Squares at some point. :-) There isn’t much of a method here. Let’s assume to cream the sugar and butter, add the flour and baking powder, then the wet ingredients, finishing with the nuts. As to pan size, you may need to make an educated guess based on how much batter there is. Try the oven at 350. I’d also probably grease the pan the first time round to make sure they don’t stick. I have no idea if they will be thin or rise to brownie height. If you make them let us know! It’s kind of an adventure!

Pecan Squares

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup flour

1/3 cup butter

1 egg beaten

1 tsp vailla

1 tsp B.P.

1/2 cup chopped pecans

Bake 30 min, let cool slightly, cut in finger widths.

  1. This recipe sounds like my Pecan Tassies (or Nut Cups) I bake in the mini muffin pans. The only thing missing for that taste would be the crust, which has flour and cream cheese as two of the ingredients. I may tweak this recipe and include my crust.😁
